3 Tips to Find the Perfect Bridesmaids Gifts

3 Tips to Find the Perfect Bridesmaids Gifts

One of the biggest projects I’ve been tasked with while planning my wedding is finding bridesmaids gifts.  Planning a wedding is a special occasion.  Planning a wedding can also be very expensive if you let things get out of hand.  I’ll be honest.  I was not the little girl sitting around thinking about my wedding dress or colors, etc.  However, since starting this wedding planning process I’ve been super excited to think of new little cute things left and right.

While searching through Pinterest and Etsy I decided on bridesmaids cards as my official bridesmaids invite gift. But I could not quite find what I needed on Pinterest & Etsy.  Nothing really captured the essence of what I wanted to create so I took matters into my own hands.  Here are 3 tips for finding the perfect bridesmaids gifts:

3 Tips to Find the Perfect Bridesmaids Gifts

1. Make it Personal

For my bridesmaids gifts, I decided each girl would receive a personalized illustration on a card with a sweet letter from me on the inside. Although I looked high and low on Pinterest and Etsy at pre-made cards, nothing moved me.

Thankfully, I found Mauve Paper Co on Instagram and loved her illustrations.  I reached out to her to see if she would take on my project and I’m so happy she said yes!  I sent over the photos I wanted to be illustrated for each card and in 3 weeks I had the final product.  She even included envelopes and plastic covers for each card.

If you can, find a way to put your personal touch on your gift.  It will go a long way over pre-made gifts.

2. Don’t Break the Bank

While on my hunt for the perfect bridesmaids gifts, I came across so many amazing ideas.  One of the ideas that often popped up were Bridesmaids boxes.  While I loved the idea, that could have easily gotten expensive with shipping and handling.  Mailing cards were definitely less expensive and still had an impact. I may or may not have gotten a few tears 🙂

Your wedding is probably already racking up tons of expenses.  Save a little money on the bridesmaids gifts if you can.  Trust me, your brides will appreciate that you thought of them enough to even give a gift.

3. Get Crafty!

Nothing is better than using your own to hands to actually make a gift.  You feel a real sense of pride in your work and the final product.  Also, if you pay attention to detail the receiver will take notice.

For my bridesmaids cards, I purchased a script font from Creative Market, installed it on my computer and used the font to write and print my personal letter to each bride.

I also went to CVS to print the 4×6 photo used in the illustration for each bride.  Once printed, I just used a simple glue stick to attach both the letter and the photo inside of the card.  Simple and crafty and only cost me $.35 for each printed photo.

I had so much fun creating these gifts for my bridesmaids!  What are some ideas and gifts you’ve done for your bridal party?  Comment below and let me know!
