Product Favorite: Eden Body Works

There’s always one product you continuously hear people talk, blog, or post about but you never get a chance to experiment with the product yourself.  Well, my lucky moment came when Eden Body Works had a buy one get one free sale on Black Friday at all Sally’s Beauty Supply stores.  Perfect timing I thought to myself!  Eagerly, I drove to the nearest Sally’s and felt like a kid in a candy store upon arrival.  Eden Body Works products were already fairly priced, around $8-9 per product, which excited me even more.  For $18 and some change, I purchased the all natural shampoo, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and all natural curl defining cream.  I’ve tried all as of now but the curl defining cream.  Below are a few notes about each.

EDEN BodyWorks JojOba Monoi All Natural Moisturizing Shampoo

I’d been searching for my staple go to shampoo for a while now and I am very pleased to say I think I’ve found the right one! The All Natural Jojoba Monoi Shampoo lathered quite nicely, but did not leave my hair feeling dry or stripped afterwards.  While washing, my hair was also easy to detangle and easy to run my fingers through, which I instantly knew was a good sign.  Also, a little goes a long way so I’m sure I will have the bottle for quite some time.  This shampoo is a great choice to have in your stash as a hydrating shampoo, however; for monthly my monthly clarifying shampoo I’m still in the process of searching for my favorite.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, PEG-150 Distearate, Coco Nut Oil, Tiare Flower, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Cocamidopropyl Oxide, Citric Acid, PPG-20 Methyl Glucose Ether, Phenoxyethanol , Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid

EDEN BodyWorks Jojoba Deep Conditioner

While I searched for a new shampoo, of course I needed a deep conditioner to partner.  Overall, the deep conditioner did what it is formulated to do: hydrate intensely and make the hair more manageable.  My hair felt soft afterwards, however; I wasn’t completely blown away.  The consistency  was nice and the product was easy to distribute throughout, but there was nothing significantly special to me.  I guess I was looking for the wow factor.  I knew I wanted to pair the deep conditioner with the same brand of the shampoo so I figured it would be fine.  Although I wasn’t blown away I still think it’s a great buy nonetheless.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Coco Nut Oil, Tiare Flower, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Camomile) Flower Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol , Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid

EDEN Body Works All Natural Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner

LOVE LOVE LOVE!  I’ve come across a few great leave in conditioners like one of my favorites the Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave in Conditioner but this is definitely top on my list right now!  I think I use Eden Body Works Coconut Shea leave in at least 3 times a week.  Perfect for twist-outs, roller sets, braid outs etc., you really can’t go wrong with this product.  The Shea Leave In Conditioner has great slip so it worked well to evenly distribute to the hair too.  The best part are the ingredients, (see below), only 3 but all are essential for any curly girl.  If you had to choose one product to try among the line I recommend this one!

Ingredients: Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Butryospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter

Have you tried Eden Body Works? What are your thoughts about the products?
