How to Wash Your Hair Under Weaves and Protective Styles

How to Wash Your Hair Under Weaves and Protective Styles

The best business ideas come after realizing your have a problem that has yet to be solved. Well, that’s exactly what Dr. Camille Verovic did.  And thankfully she answered the ever pressing question of how to wash your hair under weaves. The story of Girl+Hair (GirlandHair) starts in 2009 when she, a former marketing professional turned doctor, sought out to find healthy products to care for her natural hair after her “big chop”. Because of her busy life style, protective styling has always been a great solution. Depending on the season or work schedule ahead, she would choose a preferred protective style, such as hair extensions, crochet braids, wigs, braids, or weaves. As a girl who loves a great wig or 2, this line extremely exciting and I can’t wait to try.

Based on her personal frustration and armed with her medical knowledge and desire to find the best ingredients for optimal hair health, the idea of a product line to maintain natural hair underneath hair extensions was born. With the help of a great team and a star chemist, Camille then took her idea to the next level and created UNDER HAIR CARE™.

The Girl + Hair line consists of 4 staple products, all which are suited and specially designed for curly, kinky or coily (4A, 4B, 4C) hair types who are wearing hair extensions, braids, weaves, or wigs. The line includes:

Gentle Clarifying ACV Rinse

The GENTLE CLARIFYING HAIR RINSE is an organic apple cider vinegar and rice water based clarifier created to gently but thoroughly remove product buildup and repair damaged follicles without stripping hair of moisture.

Leave-In Conditioner

You know..before very recently, I never knew you could wash your hair in braids. So when I found out, I was quite upset. Think of all the money I wasted on making my braids every week
